COMTEQ launches Adopt a School Program

Comteq College started the year by helping public high schools in Zambales and Olongapo through “Adopt-A-School Program”

“Adopt-A-School Program” was launched to encourage private companies to assist in the delivery of better quality education to the public schools, particularly in the poverty-stricken provinces.

COMTEQ currently has five sponsored high schools namely, Olongapo City National High School (OCNHS), Regional Science High School, Kalalake National High School, and Jesus Magsaysay Subic and Castillejos.

Under this program COMTEQ would provide the above mentioned schools with:

  • Support in the development of the high school’s information communications facilities by setting up a wireless internet connection (Comteq Wi-Fi) infrastructure;
  • Once-a-month maintenance services ( excluding parts and materials) at the computer laboratory of the Kalalake National High School Information and Communications Technology (ICT) laboratory;
  • Use of the unique Comteq Incubation Laboratory (Inculab) to support its education program, particularly its ICT Curriculum program;
  • One (1) fully subsidized training/seminar/lecture for one (1) faculty member of the High School and/or its ICT curriculum;
    Two (2) fully subsidized training/seminar/lecture to the students of the high school and/or its ICT curriculum.

COMTEQ intends to continue these sponsorships and to adopt more schools.
